Recommend me something? (book, poem, music, film, food etc.): Portugese caldeirada :D Specifically the lamb version (and use beer, not wine)

Your site is so delightful to look at and browse I love your Field Observations so much! I too relate to spotting and wondering about little things in the wild. May I add your button to my site? PS. I think you can remove the "not mobile friendly" button - I had no issues at all!

Recommend me something? (book, poem, music, film, food etc.): the silent patient? idk reading that currently

lovely website. how do you get this bg thing? kinda looks like tv static but better idk how to explain hahaha

Replied on: September 2, 2026 at 8:02:03 AM

thank you!! for the staticky backgrounds, depending on which one you mean I use '3.png' and '8.png' from this old mac pattern collection which has a b&w subfolder with many options. to set it up you just need to add these lines to the body css with any bg pic you like: background-image: url('your path here/8.png' ); background-repeat: repeat; p.s. I did read "the silent patient" a few years ago and was a bit disappointed by it, mostly because it focuses on a trope that I find annoying but I don't want to spoil it for you haha
